New Forum Member From Nor Cal
Life long car enthusiast and new member of the forum. Interested in a wide variety of cars from any era, but mostly high performance street cars from the 1960’s to the 1990’s.
Looking to connect with fellow car enthusiasts and in particular Aston Martin owners, as I am a first time AM owner. Recently purchased a 2016 V8 Vantage and looking to connect with other AM owners in the SF Bay Area. Will start a new thread in the Aston Martin forum.

Based on your avatar, it looks like you spend some quality track time at Laguna Seca. I have taken a few laps around the track over the years, but I am more of a spectator and have been going to Laguna for decades. I particularly enjoy the Historic races and the recent Velocity Invitational was excellent, hopefully a sign of more good things to come.

Great! Laguna has a special place in my heart as I have been tracking there since the late 70’s..boy does that date me…a lot of different cars over those years and a few homebuilts too. I did get to lap a buddies V8V and it was a fun car to drive. If you have any interest in driving your Aston at Laguna check for driving events by Hooked on Driving or Trackmasters, PCA or any other similar groups that offer instruction to new drivers on motorsports.reg website. It will be an expensive weekend but you owe it to yourself to do it at least once, but nobody ever does it just once. Congrats on the car and Happy New Year.

Wow … you have been tracking at Laguna for over 40 years, that is impressive!
I started going to the races in the early ’70’s and been going on and off again since then. I took the Jim Russell 3 day driving school in a Formal Ford in the mid ’80’s , back when the track was (9) corners, it was a lot of fun. I have heard of HOD and will keep that in mind, should I decide to give it a try. Thank you for the recommendation.
