Looking forward to interacting with you all here. My name is John and I became the owner of a 997.1 C2S in January, This is my first 911 and one of the things I look forward to the most is just having a car to work on with my sons as they grow up (ages 4 and 2). I remember the day I knew I wanted a 911 and it was while my dad was stationed in Germany. I was 7 years old and a yellow 911 passed us on the autobahn and I asked my dad to catch it. We were in an early 90s Nissan Sentra lift back and I remember my dad saying ok and my mom making this smirking laugh sound. All my dad did was down shift and push this little Nissan as hard as he could haha. Needless to say we never caught the 911 but about an hour or two later we saw a yellow 911 at a gas station so I assumed that had to be the one. The owner was one of the nicest I had ever met and let us check out the car and I remember having this huge grin on my face the rest of the day from that experience. The day I picked up my Porsche, my sons had that same face and its a moment that I will never forget! Cheers!
