Our new ride.
Yep, picked up from the folks at Northbay Nissan and had a great experience dealing with them.
Quick impressions: effortless power without any lag, very good build quality, well-appointed interior, amazing transmission, grip for days.
Slightly more elaborated version: There's been plenty of comments about how "videogame-like" the driving experience is. It is in the respect to how quickly the GT-R starts making moving traffic seem like it's standing still but not in the regards to the interaction you have with it. Steering response is instantaneous, you feel (and hear) everything it's doing and needless to say, the drivetrain from engine to applying power to the wheels is a modern day marvel.
Is this car for everyone? No. Are the looks polarizing? Yes. Does this car like to go very very fast? Most certainly. Is it worth the price of admission? I think so.
Ground breaking cars like this that cause such waves in the car forums ultimately have positive effects that offset all the bickering they create, they raise the bar in the industry that means more fun toys for us to buy from whatever your favorite make is.
That said, here's a quick pick someone took of us while driving over the weekend, enjoy.

I like the darker color better - actually the darker color is very similar to my Prius, if i roll up to one in my Prius one day, im just gonna give the driver a hard look and take off... fast!
