Cayman Kills GTR
Oooh you are the man on track dude
What does what I run have to do with anything? I was marely trying to show that the Cayman S was faster than a 2:17 but all you guys saw was GTR 1:55 lmao..Nevermind that all the times I posted were off, the GTR at 1:55 just burned a hole in your brain. I posted in haste and screwed up the times. Also I was not aware there was a difference between the Full and Grand course. My appologies on both counts but I think you guys are seriously overreacting lol.
I see the GTR hate creeped in and colored your understanding of what I was trying to get accross. Now I understand the GTR hype is tiresome but not everyone that mentions the GTR has an agenda. I doubt the Ring times like any logical person so I understand the typo 1:55 bringing up the same feeling but please relax. Its realy not that serious

To talk smack about something you cannot achieve. Thats why it matters. You won't see any of my posts relating to fast or slow times because if I cannot do it I do not talk crap about it.
No agenda here.
No hate here - I have said I like to buy a GTR - where is the hate? Read before you post and if you know you made a mistake on posting or typo - correct it, admit to it or get over it. Up to you.

Lmao at how easily I made you sink to childish retorts......Im flattered. Always remember kids that when your tired, pompous, self gratifing ramblings fail to impress break out the Photoshop and show em how much better you are than them. That'll hurt their feelings.
Why not at all, thank you.
First off, you are name calling and making personal attacks, I don't know if that gets you banned on this forum, but it certainly would on ours. I won't stoop to your level but I will respond by saying that since you made it public, Greg of RSS did call me and asked why I used the term "shill" to describe your actions here. I told him that I was in a hurry and "shill" seemed like the most appropriate word to me, but he thought that some people here might think that he put you up to saying the things you've said about RSS and their competitors and he is trying to distance himself from you because you are doing his business more harm that good. I told him I was happy to change the word "shill" to something else and I did. No one FORCED me to do anything. I did it as a courtesy and for clarity. I would want to be associated with you and neither does Greg and others. I don't blame him for asking me nicely to change the term I used.
Reckless? Pointing out he TRUTH that all you do is post glowing praise of RSS products which sometimes you claim to know nothing about and other times claim to own, just like your Cayman, sometimes you say you own one, sometimes you say you don't. Can't remember the TRUTH?
I never bashed a sponsor on our site, and I never bashed a sponsor here. All sponsors on our site are given equal and fair representation and have abilities in accordance with their sponsorship level.
We banned you for repeated violations of our posting and forum rules, despite warnings and infractions that you were given you persisted and were banned. You tried to come back under other account names after being banned, yet another violation not only of our rules but of both California and Federal laws, both of which apply to you. A continued inability to follow the rules and the law will certainly land you into trouble.
As the owner of your own site you should be capable of setting an example by not lossing your temper and in a fit of anger undo the time and efforts and cost put forth by any sponsor.
Who is angry? I guess you must be, but not I, in fact our sponsors love us and continue to renew with us despite a worsening economy. I guess you are just flailing about throw $hit up against the wall and hoping something sticks.
Thank you for proving me correct, I did not say the Cayman Kills the GTR, I jokingly told another member that if he wanted to rile someone up (you for instance) that he ought to post something like that. Look at his response, there was no need to because you already had. Oh, and since you are unsure whether or not you own a Cayman you probably don't remember the Cayman advertising campaign where the phrase "stirring things up" was used do you? So you completely missed that reference. That's OK I understand.
I know there are a lot of your members spending alot more time here at 6 speed and as your traffic is slowing down your new method to steal some attention and promote your interests without paying as 6speed sponosors do is a SHAME!!!. Your cheap and shady behavior should get you banned.
Oh this is a rich one, and yet another example of you talking out your a$$. Our traffic has increased every month this year, provable by both Google analytics and by awstats. In January 2008 we had 37,294 unique visitors, last month (Sept 2008) we had 69,989 unique visitors, despite our site really only catering to one model. Not only are our members spending lots of time on our site, but new people join every day. How does this compare to 6speedonline? Well in May 2008 6speedonline had 92,414 unique visitors, at the time we had 55,808, I know because Internet Brands tried to buy us like they bought 6speed and Rennlist. I declined. I had seen what had happened to some other enthusiast sites since Internet Brands took over and it seems the same thing is happening to both 6speedonline and Rennlist, traffic is decreasing. I have no need to post on 6speedonline to try and "drive" traffic to our site, we have plenty of traffic and are doing just fine thank you very much. If people want to come they can, if they want to stay they can, if they want to leave they can. If they violate our rules they will be banned, so yes, we lost you as a traffic member but it didn't "hurt" us too badly it seems. I have nothing against 6speedonline, seems like a decent enough site still, and I even talk to some of the original owners from time to time on matters involving web forums, cars, etc. If you are trying to drive a wedge between us and 6speed or any other site, I'm sorry but you are failing miserably.
Yep, as I said, on that day, at that track and with those drivers, the Cayman GT was every bit as capable as the Nissan GTR. I also said different days, different drivers, different cars and the results would be different. Is there something hard to understand about that?
Hmm let's see here you go making personal attacks again. If I had a big nose would you call me "Big Nose"? What makes you think I'm short? How tall are people next to me in photos? If I'm standing next to Manute Bol, I'd expect to look short, and I tower over Carmen Electra. In fact I am a little bit shorter than both Alex Lifeson (left), and Geddy Lee (3rd from left).
but I also happen to be a better track driver than either of them. Geddy still kicks my *** at bass though.
I didn't know you had followed my driving career all these years with such keen interest. I can assure you that there are faster drivers than me but I can also assure you that the driver of that Nissan GTR was not one of them. Angel who was driving the C6 Z06 seems to be around my level of skill from what I saw on the track. I've turned a 1:46.7 on the 2.5 mile full road course at Heartland Park Topeka. You can go look up SCCA times or PCA Club Racing times for the same track to make comparisons if you want.
Here, I better help you with that. Here is a list of cars/drivers that were faster than me from the PCA Club Race at HPT this past April:

You can see the chart better here: http://www.pca.org/clubrace/2008_res...Qualifying.htm it doesn't show up well in this forum editor.
Looks like if I would "race" my car I'd finish somewhere in the middle of all cars at the event. Now granted those cars have gutted interiors and are not street cars, but I'm saying if I took my lowly bolt-on modified car and inflated ego out there, that might be around where I'd finish. I might also wreck in the first lap... who knows...
When I am out driving a DE it is typically to instruct. Ask any of my students about my driving skills and my teaching methods, I'm sure they'll give you their honest opinions. When I get an open track day like I had a couple of weeks ago, I go out and run the snot out of the car for fun, pure pleasure. It's not about who finishes first because it isn't a race. It's about making yourself a better driver. Fortunately for me, I was able to spend some 1:1 time with Vic Elford (if you don't know who that is go look him up) at Croctoberfest in Atlanta earlier this month. Not only is he a wonderful person but he is one hell of a driver and he was kind enough to help me improve some of my driving skills. That's what is fun for me, learning, practicing and getting better. If you want to cut me down for that, I guess that must be what is fun for you, attacking people in web forums and spreading lies.
It must have hurt your bloated ego being FORCED to go back to edit your small minded post and being FORCED to remove the respected sponsor's name from your "RANT".
You should be very aware of the costly damage your type of reckless post can cause WRONG WRONG WRONG !!!!!
It is reckless to bash your own paying sponsor on your own site but beyond STUPID to come over to another site and bash their paying sponsor I am suprised they did not ban you, because that is what you ban members for right ?

On the suject of who to believe how about your claim you did not use the word "KILL" well how about "Kills" just look at post #15 in the link you supplied to send 6speeders to your site. BTW I copied it so you wouldn't be temped to edit or delete it. ( see quote below)
"You oughta post a "Cayman Kills GTR" topic on 6speed and point them here... that ought to cause a stir er uh stir things up.... "

I noticed that on your site's thread you felt the need to explain yourself to even your members about your thread titled -----"Cayman GT > = GTR"
( I think most of us take that to mean Cayman GT greater than or equal to GTR )
( I think most of us take that to mean Cayman GT greater than or equal to GTR )
In your posts about track time you always let everyone know what a great session you had and how fast your car is but I have never seen one of your posts that speaks of anyone having a better session than you. It's like you are the best driver in the world or at least in your little world. I say little world because in the pictures posted it looks like you are so short you can barely see over the steering wheel and I think it would be safer for everyone if you could raise your seat up so you could see since you are always driving so very very fast.

I agree with you. This is coming from a GTR owner too!
LOL, Ken, you are a piece of work. This guy cried like a new born baby when he was called out for misstating gains on modifications.
I got banned for making a positive report on an exhaust system that was made by a company that was not a sponsor, then reinstated after they became a sponsor, what a *****.

Let's talk about that for a moment. You weren't just posting a positive report about an exhaust system, you were attempting to circumnavigate our rules against product shilling. You and VividRacing were making wild claims about the Agency Power exhaust, that it miraculously made 23-25hp at the rear wheels from a catback system only. No catback on earth has ever made that much gain. When the dyno chart posted on the Vivid site was called into question because it was inaccurate by one of our moderators we got angry calls from Vivid who was then a sponsor. Vivid also begged and pleaded for you to be let back onto the site, as did you, I have the emails, do you want me to post them? I was clear you could come back on as long as you didn't shill, as long as every post out of your mouth wasn't a praise-fest for Vivid or an attack against someone else. How much have you posted since you were let back on? Not much, because you know if you start shilling again you'll get banned and evidently you don't have much else to say about the Cayman or choose to make posts like this on other sites where the moderators won't ban you.
I tried to be nice to you and to Vivid by letting you back on against the better judgement of our moderators so that someone could at least answer questions about Vivid's products from first hand knowledge. What we got for being "nice" was not what we bargained for and Vivid is no longer a sponsor. Unlike other sites, we don't have a problem with giving a sponsor the boot if they don't play by the rules, the same goes for members. I understand that's a cultural thing, some people think the Internet is supposed to be like the wild west, where you say anything you want, there's no accountability, and whomever has the biggest gun or the most bullets wins. That isn't our approach to our site, that's why our rules are spelled out in black and white, people can either follow them or not, but they need to be able to accept what happens if they don't follow them. It sounds like you carry some sort of grudge and haven't been able to just move on, I'm sorry to hear that, that is very sad.
Most amazing part of this whole thread: Noone can spell Cayman right, and everyone still refers to a Cayman GT! What the hell is a Cayman GT?
this sh*t is great... noone can quote laptimes, spell car names correctly, or even justify any driving besides mikelly (respect due).

Who misstated gains for modifications? Not me. All of my mods are publicly stated, all of my dyno runs are publicly stated and shown, all certified by Imagine Auto and their Mustang dyno. If you have a problem with dyno charts, take it up with them. I was never "called out" as you claim, but then I can see why you'd claim that here and not on the site where you were previously banned.

So after you falsely and personally accused me I found some of your exaggerated claims that unlike mine, came directly from your mouth. I actually did call your tuner, you remember how you were all about accountability? Well Imagine chose not to back up your claims. Shocking.
I think that everyone who reads these posts can decide for themselves what kind of guy you are. I mean at least you are consistent.
*edit* nobody begged anything, you accepted my reinstatement as a consideration for the sponsorship from Vivid I told Dan I could care less if I got reinstated and "made nice" as a gesture to Dan and Vivid who had taken care of my M3 and Cayman and had earned my support. The only other compelling reason was so that my fellow Cayman owners could ask me questions about the exhaust and later the coilovers that I had installed. I believe I still have an account at CC however I do not frequent the site and I do not recall having ANY problems with you or any mods after the exhaust issue and you receiving monies from Vivid, funny how that works.

Let me see if I get this right. You call Imagine Auto and ask for copies of my dyno reports. They don't have authorization to just hand over dyno reports to anyone who calls on the phone, they also have no clue who you are, so they decline to give them to you and you think there is something wrong with that???
Imagine Auto is a sponsor here on 6speed, Stephen Kaspar the owner frequents here often, why not have him come into this thread and answer whether or not they've ever "fudged" a dyno report or been dishonest in any way? Since I have posted all my dynos from Imagine Auto, and they are stored on the PC attached to their Mustang dyno it should be quite easy for Stephen to look at them and recite any of them back.
Do you normally attack 6speed online sponsors like this or only the ones who don't give you discounts and freebies?
You've got some twisted view of "reality" but hey whatever floats your boat... as you can see I don't check over here too often. I don't think you'd last too long on our site spewing all this garbage, epecially pimping for Vivid when every other post suddenly becomes about how great some product of theirs is. Have you become a Vivid franchisee yet? I see that Vivid speciaizes in teaching their franchisees how to "guerilla" market, you know like getting people to say good things about you products over and over again in web forums in exchange for money or discounts, etc. Why here it is directly from their own franchise page on their website:
"Vivid Racing’s support team coaches store owners how to operate and manage a successful business using grassroots marketing, sales strategies, and business development methodologies. Training topics include:
• Developing a business plan
• Managing store inventory
• Adjusting cash flow
• Selling products and services
• Overcoming sales obstacles and the closing process
• Training, hiring, and supervising staff
• Implementing guerilla marketing plans
• Driving traffic to your store, running in-store promotions, and special events"
Interesting stuff... buy hey see you around...
