No question.......I might look at a low mileage used example once the prices come down to 60-70k...........which should be in a year or two!

And you know this because you have 100k miles on your car already? Or are you just making an assumption? Not knocking the ZR-1 in any way as it's a very impressive automobile.

Both very impressive automobiles. ZR1 didnt get crushed as bad as I thought it would. Nasty GTR though.

OT: I used to think that given equal power there is no way the Two Ton Terror will keep up with cars like ZR1, Viper, GT2 etc. But after seeing a few vids of Godzilla against similar powered cars and how close the race is, to a point of course, Im realizing the tranny is the star of the show and is a spectacular piece of tech. It just never drops out of the power range.

I love manuals. But if they offered the GTR's tranny and awd system as an option to every car I think Id pass on the manual at least for awhile. A human just cant compete against it with a manual unless the manual car is making gobs more power.

Not that the weight of the GTR is hampering it badly but Id love to see its powertrain and driveline in lighter [2900-3300lb] package. I think that would own everything stock to stock. Wonder if Jun would do a swap into a 370z or even a Sylvia like they did with the older 350z and R34 Skyline.

The trans tech is certainly incredible, in this video you see that for every time the ZR1 shifts, the GTR pulls ahead just that much...

If someone can get behind the scenes with the GTR and strip out half a ton, the performance will be ungodly..

Where are all the ex NA Honda guys that purchased these? ...

I never get tired of that vid. Thats a dog fight right there. A stripped GTR would make me shed a tear but the drivetrain would love it. Yeah were are the Honda guys with the GTR's

Nearly identical performance...

If any of you have given the GTR a good look over, it is very hard to find all of the weight... The Japanese obviously have excellent weight hiding technology.

-just sayin

In another story, 1,000 hp supra destroys every stock vehicle on the road! fail but +rep for vid anyway
not really an evenily mathced comparison, the GT-R has just about 100hp less and weighs aprox 1000lbs more. yet the vette can only muster out .8mph more in the slolem and just over a sec in the road course. not much to boast about

Neil,

Have you guys gotten any 60-130 times with the 800hp GT-R? I'm curious what it runs. Thanks.

Because unlike the other companies that leave you high and dry when something breaks, he has a 100k mile powertrain warranty that guarantees him that his car will make it to 100k miles or it will be on the General's dollar!
