Gtr new world record 9.3 at153.xx
It's in the thread, but you should always start well before 60 mph so that you are WOT and under full-boost by the time you hit 60. Some guys start from a stop, some from 20, some from 40. It really doesn't matter as long as you have attained 100% acceleration by the time you pass 60 mph.

Ams is going to try to get a v-box time .. I think with traction it will see 3.9 - 4.2 at worse
Thank you and regarding the car it has our full Alpha 10 performance package (soon to be released)
The tranny has what we call an Alpha 10 plus trans package consisting of a Dodson pro max clutch, ppg 1st gear and some other dodson parts and special services from shep trans.
The engine is stock displacement with upgraded rods and pistons. The head is stock with Ferrea dual springs and Jun cams. The turbo kit is our Alpha 10 turbo kit designed for quick spool and a very meaty power band...as is evident on the run lol.
We will have a full video soon showing it on the street and the full pass.
I think some are confusing this car with another GTR we are doing a full build log on. The black 1000plus whp GTR we are building is being built more for straight line and insane street runs. This is actually his friend and he wanted a more tame setup.
This is a full weight (4000lb with driver) street GTR. the only lightweight parts are the AMS CF/Kevlar roof, hood and trunk.
OH and we do have a V-box so we will toss one on this car and get some runs for you guys.

I can answer that.. Tim the owner wants the car for a daily driver and not a gutted drag car.
Ams Is working on a more drag/street car , but make not mistake it will not be gutted and it will run 8.xx at 165 full interior and with a cage
estimated HP will be 1200whp alpha 12 setup. car will run like stock until you nail it.
In only 2 years the GTR is making serious headway in the Hp wars.

what fuel combo is it going to be tuned for to get this kind of power? C16, VP109, Meth, E85?

DOnt take my comment wrong.. I have seen in the 996s a many say what they will run with 1000rwhp and only end up doing 10s... thats my point...

Okay - this is really great stuff and I let it sit in the 996TT for a few days to generate replies, but now it's time it gets moved to the GT-R section.

Thanks man for answering that. I thought this was there race car considering the time and being the fast in the world. Then I heard it was full interior and I was like uh WTF haha. Can't wait to see what this car does in the quarter fully stripped. Congrats on the time!!!!
SOunds easier then said... I agree on the part that in 2 years this platform is crushing everything in its place... but to say a 4000 lbs will do 165+ and run 8s maybe is a little far fetched then a few key strokes typing it... look at the 996s.. its been 10 years and only 2 car ran a 9 sec... the 997s.. I think only two as well.. and both are hard core builds that took at least a year.... simply put its not that easy... and when you have the AMS team, custom tuning at the track and Sheppard driving... well its not easily repeated.. meaning, anyone else takes that car and will run a second slower.

@Markski
I agree it will be alot harder then a few key strokes.. but im not sure if you have been following Chuck_H build .. it will have bigger turbos ,a stoker kit and few other AMS tricks.. I know it has to get done first.. but i can pretty much guarantee an. 8.9x over 160 on the low end... ofocurse we have 4-5 months before that happens.. but it will happen.
I know its hard to believe (i never thought a FULL weight GTR wll run low 9's with a 1.57 60ft time)
here is the build.. mind you its alot of posts.. you can skip to the last few pages as they are more current..

what will be done to the tranny to hold this kind of power? There have been tranny's blown at half that power level, so are you getting anything done there?

And Sheppard's driving not being repeated? You've GOT to be kidding me... It doesn't take a lot to figure out how to drive an automatically shifting transmission (read: push the pedal on the right). Even he if he shifted, all one has to know is when to hit the flappy paddle on the right.
Please. This is no great driving feat. The car can still be driven by grandma.
*edit: one of those cars that ran a high 9sec 1/4 did the first run on factory street tires (9.8), with full stock interior.

#2 Hitler's GT-R? Really? That is so old, even the mold has gotten stale. But seriously - there have been cars with twice the stock power running just fine on the stock transmission.
