Everyone knows cobb , what about off brands for sale on ebay.
Let me know who is running one of these 280.00 pipes and how it works and sounds with no resonator.

 

No offfense but why would you even think about putting an ebay part on an 85K near supercar? I wouldnt even put that on my old GTI or my current 3 series.

 

No offense taken, the cobb y-pipe is 700.00 and agency power and others are 300.00 or so

 

The ebay mp, dp and even exhaust perform perfectly fine. I have a friend in WV that runs it w/any issues and it performs just like an other counterpart.

 

i had a $250 non cat/non res y pipe on my 12 gtr that i got from ebay. made in china but fit was perfect as installed by nissan dealer and sounded great. was a slight resonance at 65 mph but easily avoided by going 2 mph faster or slower. imo you would be crazy to spend more.

 

How was the noise level with you inexpensive pipe.
The drone many talk about is a real issue, had an M-5 with a straight pipe and could not stand it. Took it off and sold it.

 

I can't figure out why people still try to charge upwards of $1k for a 3" pipe with a couple bends, under the guise of R&D.

Just check on it, make sure the welds and ends hold up. Not all retailers on ebay are horrible, and not all knock-offs are reliable.

There is a reason it is that much cheaper. But I don't see that big of a deal with the part, because it frees up air, regardless of how much it works. Second set of cats - gone.
