That's only 2 days away, Eugene.

Please keep us posted.

I tried e-mailing Cary but it bounced back!

Okay, got the work done at Genesis Engineering today...

Before:
Car pulls to the right a little and the steering wheel was pointing to the left a little when going straight. I had two alignments done in the last 3 months, one by an Indy and one by a dealer at Fremont, both did not fix the problem.

Work Performed:
Change out the front tires
Corner Balance
Alignment

I called Jeremey two days ago and told him that I wanted to replace the valve stems on my HREs. He called HRE and made sure the right valve stem to be used and special pre-ordered them... good planning.

Jeremey got my body weight and it is a part of the calculation when corner balancing; then he dropped me off somewhere near so he could drive back and feel the car. He also asked me how I wanted the camber to be set and explained the impacts of different settings. We have agreed on a slightly aggressive setting.

He called me before the promised time and picked me up since I didn't have a ride. I drove him back so I could feel the car and I noticed the car drives totally different than before. She is going straight as an arrow and the steering wheel is pointing straight when going straight. Finally, after two alignments, she is driving right. The corner balance and alightment were actaully performed by Brandon Kraus at Roger Kraus Racing; I must say that was great work.

Now, since the car is with a little negative camber, she turns a little more aggressively than before; I now am in a learning stage due to the car is less under-steer.

I sure will go back to Genesis Engineering for other works.

Thanks.

Eugene,

Great write up. Good to know they are skilled.

I am having them change out my front springs and then corner balance as well.

Please keep us posted.

PS: don't tell us your weight!!!

Don't do it! You'll mess up that nice TT cabrio!

I'll get with Cary and see when he can do it.

Eugene Hookedondriveing.com is having a Porsche only event at Thunderhill Raceway on September 18th. Good place to start your track days. Very good group of people and very safe. I think you would have a great time. Check out there web site.

Don't do it both of you!

Your cars are too nice to risk.

Thanks Marco! I did receive the newsletter from PCA and knew about this event. However, I will be moving my daughter back to college around that time and don't want to commit to this one. Are you going?

I only dealt with Genesis Eng. and did not deal with Kraus directly. Jeremy drove the car to CV and stay there until the CB and Alignment were done. He gave me the spec sheets with Kraus Racing heading, and stated Brandon Kraus performed the work. Jeremy drove the car back and I picked up the car in Concord.
