Video Jan 24: Breakfast @ Red Tractor, Dublin

The Diablo PCA roving breakfast will be at the Red Tractor in Dublin on January 24th, 9-11AM or they throw us out, whichever comes first. All are welcome, no matter what you drive/ride. Take that as a challenge if you like -- show up in something that leaves me slackjawed.

Oh, and we'll have our monthly dinner at Strizzi's in Danville on Jan 15th, 6:30-9PM. Details for all Diablo events can be found on our online calendar: http://calendar.diablo-pca.org

For those that don't like advanced notice, Monterey Bay region will gather at the Blackhawk Museum this Saturday the 3rd, ~11AM. Not sure but I think they've lined up some kind of special tour -- I intend to be there to find out.

Yep, I was there

Hey Joe -- I was there, but due to a late start and a wrong turn I was looking for a parking spot in the lot a good 15 minutes late. If there was any kind of welcome/talk/announcement I missed it by the time I got up to the museum. But if you spotted a silver '74 914 in the parking lot in front of Anthropologie, that was my car.

That was my first time at the museum, but it won't be my last. Very cool! I'm still sorting hundreds of December vacation photos, but will eventually get photos from the museum up.

I have to mention the Porsche train in the European Train Enthusiasts' (http://www.ete.org) huge train display for those who weren't there. Apparently DeutschRail (or whatever) sells advertising rights to their locomotives. So Porsche plasters engines with an advert when they lease them to haul cars from the factories to the ports.

One of the ETE guys who's also a Golden Gate Region PCA member bought a Porsche locomotive and a bunch of car carriers by Marklin (described here: http://www.usedvictoria.com/classifi...ins-ho-n-scale), and loaded up the carrier cars with lots of tiny Porsches. Apparently the engine sports a bunch of samples of Porsche models starting and loading/unloading, as well as train sound f/x, but this layout wasn't wired to demonstrate that feature.

All in all, a very cool outing.

Hello there, I need your help, I am compiling a website dedicated to tractor videos, to date I have gathered 356 unique farm tractor males and I hope to document every farm tractor make and model ever made. I am especially looking for pictures and videos of rare antique tractors, such as Chamberlain, McCormick International or Minneapolis-Moline. If you are in a position to help, drop me a line at admin (at) youtractors.com. Any content you provide will remain your property and you will be credited with it.

I look forward to hearing from you
