Philly Area 6Speeders!
Yea, most all Cayman owners are awesome

Jeff, you coming out Sunday?
Jon can answer that better than me.....but I will say they are 2 totally different animals, it's honestly like comparing apples and oranges (from the same orchard)....the balance is totally different (and good in their own regard).............
Jon was telling me on the endurance run how much he liked the handling of the Cayman over the Carrera due to the mid-engine set-up. However, as I like both cars I am biased to 997s
I love the Cayman. Compared to 99.9999% of cars on the road it dominates in handle + looks + curb appeal (hey, its a Porsche).
that being said, its not a 911 C2S. The power of that 911 was NICE and the overall feel of the car was better on the 997S. The interior was also nicer.
BUT, for overall daily use, for me, the Cayman is a much better car. That Aero-Kitted 997 was a looker and drew a lot of attention. Tough to park anywhere, was VERY low, and being my only car - was not very "livable". The Cayman S on the other hand is easy to drive/park/fly below the radar most of the time.
So to answer your question --- both cars ROCK!
Yea, the Cayman is WAY more tossable on the backroads...since its MUCH more planted to the road. But on the highway - forgetaboutit!

That particular Cayman S driver was like 30 years older than you.
I want to...I'll have to see what my schedule is looking like. I have a busy week ahead. I'm trying my best to make it out.
It'd be nice if I could take the GT500 out. Hasn't been driven in a while. That one isn't mine so I'd have to use some persuasion.
I really hope 90% of this snow is gone..

Anyone have suggestions for replacements for my STi? im looking for something cheap but fun and possibly useful. under 10g's preferably.
ive considered everything from a forester to a 944.

That's a tough call. 10g's is alot of play money though.
Why do you want to sell the STI?
