I am dying to get into a white 996 turbo, but I don't think it's going to happen.

I wish!!!

I could never get into the one daily driver car - fun other car thing though.
I'd ALWAYS want to drive the fun car.

When do you ever walk to your garage and say, "hmmm....I'd rather drive a 3-series instead of the p-car today"?

Easy, when your p-car is only fun to drive above 100 mph and 2g environments constantly...haha. Honestly I have been driving a denali xl and been absolutely fine with just floating about. That said, I could never drive a completely BLAH car (like an audi a4) without wishing I was in the sports car (for me the black series).

With age, more often than I'd like to admit. When it's brutally cold out, I like my heated steering wheel/seats, cupholders, and slush box.

6speedonline....what do you do here? Is this 'the Twitter'?

Alicia - whats up!!! How are things? I see the posts about a 996TT and i approve. Esp in white - that would be so sweet.

Drew - Denali XL, Black Series, Cup Car --- that is the stuff dreams are made of dude - enjoy it!!!

Kevin - 110% your fault on the decline of the NE secion of 6Speed. Now have another party out on the deck to revive it!! LOL

Ian - I am hoping to get out on the track with you a few times this spring/summer. Let me know what events you are eyeing up

(looks in garage at Spyder with only 1600 miles on it)

Is it Spring yet?!?!

John,

I'm definitely doing NJMP in June.

https://www.trackdaze.com/

I'll probably do VIR once this year and I may do Shenandoah in May.

Nice. I would like to get the Spyder out on the track at least once this year --- that being said, my 6'4" self might not fit in the darn thing well enough to pass the "broomstick" test that they do for verts at the track ....well see....

E-mail them. Most regulations regarding convertibles are track-specific so at least you'll know before you go.

The broomstick test is largely bull**** anyway because if you roll over, your rollover protection is most likely going to dig in to the softer turf and snap your neck anyway.

But you won't be driving fast enough or on aggressive enough tires to have to worry about that.
