Being snowed in, I spent the day doing some paint correction and cleaning up some spots in the interior. Not bad for a 108,000 mile car!

Ian,
Those pics of the 993 in your garage are pure car ****. That ride looks sweeeeeeeeeet!

How'd you apply the paint corrections?

And what's the back story on the interior door panels? Are they RS spec?

Dave,

I just used some Meguiar's Swirl Remover by hand (http://www.meguiarsdirect.com/produc...1=MEG+SWIRL+16). Apply with a terry cloth applicator and basically do some heavy circular polishing (I don't have an orbital polisher) by hand until you generate some mild heat. Then buff clean with a microfiber towel. It won't remove deep scratches or serious paint chips but it removes a lot of the surface scratches that make an old paint job look bad.

Then I finishing with a coat of sealant (Chemical Guy's M Seal) and some wax (50/50, again by Chemical Guys).

The doors are RS spec, put in by the previous owner. I have the original doors (and speakers) too. I kind of like them for now but I need to do something about the lack of front speakers.
