With the weather changing and the leaves in the USA NE region, I was thinking it'd be a great time of year to do a drive. Find some back roads and go for a cruise.

I personally live in the NW NJ(warren county) and know a bunch of local roads that are great for driving as well as some good eateries for lunch or an early dinner. I've got a few roads in mind that would end up nearer to NYC if not up into CT.

date: October 27th(Sunday)

so provided the NE doesn't get a freak storm of the century(sandy) or a freak October snow storm(2011) we should be good.

time: 9am

ending point:

ending spot: barnstormers bbq near bear mountain, ny

and finish off at a bbq place near bear mountain. roads used will be almost all back roads. There will be stopping points along the route, including overlooks on rt.611 in warren county, nj, highpoint mountain in Sussex, and then a straight shot up to bear mountain. precise route and directions will be posted for anyone who would like to meet up along the way


having an issue though, I cannot seem to find the bbq place I want.

but if anyone knows of another good place up there let me know.

this has been or will be posted on rennlist, 3si, supraforums, l4p, e4p, and an event page on facebook to invite personal friends.

this isn't a race, just a cruise, cars expected to show, anything from a standard 2011 Mazda 3 up to 911 turbo's. I'm still working on finding out the name of the bbq place. i'm literally using google maps and tracing the road it's on.
