Paint touchup/paint work Seattle area

SO yesterday at work I was looking out the window as a patient left late from her appointment. She gets in her Taurus or whatever the **** it was slowly backs up, and I was thinking man she is backing awefully close to my 911. Didn't look like she hit it, but this morning when I look at the dirty bumper I see something...the stupid lady hit my bumper. Most of it can be buffed out, but there is just a little area of about 1cm where the paint came off. The bumper appears fine...not pushed in or anything. I took the car to Barrier and they are like well that sucks ***, usually the shops end up replacing the entire bumper! I am like wtf! So then I take the car to RNR auto repair here in Bellevue during lunch (had them do custom work on my e46 M3), and they said the bumper will need to be taken off, repaired, painted, blah blah blah...estimate came out to $790! I honestly think this thing could be fixed without taking the bumper off, some slight paint work or touchup work...basically I was thinking $200-300 tops. Any suggestions? Any of you that could take a look at it that are familiar with paintwork, etc? Thanks in advance!

Can it be fixed with touch up paint? If not there is a place called "Same Day" they come out & spray it on site. It's like a super touch up. The cost will be $75-200.

i'm noticed personally, that the touch up pen works better than the touch up paint w/ the brush. it doesn't seem to "blob" and it really gets into fine scratches.

good luck!

So if I was to use the touch up pen and then go over the area with my orbital buffer using different coarseness pads and the appropriate paint cleaners/polishers, that it could for the most part by un-noticeable?

I'd give Chris Kirk at Same Day Auto Repair a call (360) 357 6196. I've used him before and he does amazing work on the site! (he's mobile) I'm pretty sure that he'll be able to fix your paint damage for you. For a lot less than RNR too.

Man, everytime someone comes on here asking for services in Seattle, all of you should automatically think of MW. We do everything! From puke to paint, we'll get 'er done. Tinting, ding, scratch, wheel, interior, exterior, wheels/tires, whachu need...(opening my trenchcoat)...I got it.

Jody, I'm finding out about the tailight tinting but I think our guy will do it.

Ben,

Thank you! Also, here is a link to some painted headlights that we like. We like the look of Josh's on his boxster.

If you guys do this service as well, we'd love to have you do it on the 996 to help that fried egg headlight look. I'm sure we could do it ourselves, but since you guys have the facility and expertise, we'd rather have you! I know it may be a stretch as I can't seem to find anyone that will paint them. They will tint or smoke them, but no luck finding someone to paint them like the picture in this thread.

Thanks again for checking Ben!https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ted+headlights
