Any Seattle members work for Microsoft?
I didn't order the fuse panel cover from the factory but I was able to get it anyways through my dealership for about $180. it took a couple months for them to get. I also managed to order a few other things too. You'd just need to get a VIN number for another Turbo with those options in the same leather color as you to make it happen.
How much gas is in your tank?
Why in the hell would you pay full price for anything? Why not see if you can get a deal through a friend, aquaintance, etc? Its not like I paid retail for the HRE wheels? I called and called until I got a fair price imho. Same for my coil-overs. Same for the car. I really hope you are not the type that would go to Best Buy and spend $60 for a HDMI cable when you can get the same cable from a few online retailers for $6. I worked at best buy and all the money they make is from accessories and service plans, but I am sure you already know that bro! I have a 1/4 tank of am/pm unleaded plus (89) in my tank!
maybe you'll get a tax refund in april. wait...your a single guy. maybe not. hey...wait!...tell the GF to get the microsoft software stuff for you for xmas.
I should be getting a huge tax return in april because I do own a house in the area, have student loans, and also have a loan on the P-car. So I think given all the interest I am paying for this stuff, I should get a good amount back!

Most Microsoft employees have a set amount that they can spend a year and get the discounted rate, it's not infinite. This being right around time for Christmas shopping, they may very well go through a lot of it buying gifts etc and this budget doesn't reset until July. Not to mention their paychecks are a derivative of people paying retail
Surely though, if they work for Microsoft, they can afford to hook you up. Just as you can afford to hook yourself up by paying retail...You drive a 997 Porsche and have a mortgage, you can afford retail and you should be affording some better gas. If you can't swing it, it's time to re-evalute you your finances and stop living outside of your means...but I doubt that's the case.
Mitchel is right, Jay. I used to work at Microsoft too and so thus was able to get those Microsoft software at a discounted rate. I usually didn't like getting software for anyone except my close friends/family for the exact reason Mitchel stated. Officially, we're not even supposed to do that since we could get into trouble if it was ever found out.
lol! todd always said, it would be easier for a man to be gay! get that nice male DUAL income! bein' a gay lady on dual lady income.....ugh!
ps.....mitchel, i would LOVE to see you out on the sleds when some guy tries to come up next to you and rally! lol!!! the acura thing is still crackin' me up!! you took off like a bolt of lightening! haahha!!

The thing is, if the people here were true friends/acquaintences of yours, you wouldn't need to make a post that dances on the line of asking for a hookup and asking for a hand out. If you were close enough to them, they would probably give you an open offer without you even asking.
>>>All I did was ask and I see no harm in that. People on M3 forum ask all the time and have been able to get software by doing just that. I don't see the reason for you to say "if they were true friends/acquaintances of yours"...gimme a f'ing break, I have only lived in Seattle for a year and the tech sector is not my line of work.

>>>I am fully aware that MS employees have a maximum they can purchase a year at their discounted rate. If they are willing to do it then fine, if not that is fine also and they can speak for themselves. I do not see the need for anyone to speak for them, just like I do not see the need for anyone to say "hey you are asking too much for your item" if someone has something for sale in the ads section of a forum
