I am up for next week if the weather is nice. My wife will be out of town. I prefer sunday as I have an exam prep class on Saturday's. The earlier the better for me.

You would belive how difficult it has been to clean my wheels!! The new pads I have (a compound from AdareMotorsports) are awesome. If we get a chance, you guys gotta feel these brakes when they're warmed up. Anyway, they throw off some ecent brake dust, I managed to let that dust sit in the garage, most of the winter on my wheels. Now its a real pain to clean off expecially since my wheels are painted.

See you

Beautiful pics Jason. The Maserati looks gorgeous, as does the CS, tt...pretty much all the cars. Its a balmy 33 degrees here! Hope we have some more meets/drives in the next month; looks like I missed a great one yesterday!

Speaking of brakes...has anyone switched their stock Porsche pads to aftermarket ones for less brake dust? I swear my HRE wheels have a coating of brake dust on almost right away after cleaning them. Next week there is a huge ocean shores drive (BMW community)...probably like 30+ cars...

When you see dust on your wheels, it means your brakes are working. I wouldn't recommend a brake pad based solely on how much less dust they create.

and the BMW drive is going to be a Pork Rocket fest. At least 9 dudes sharing 2-3 hotel rooms.

^^i get tons of brake dust, and believe you me.....it's a huge pain in the butt to clean off MY wheels! just the nature of the beast of having hyper silver wheels as opposed to black ones that can hide the dust better.

oh well.....it just means i have to keep up on keeping my car clean, cuz when they are clean....boy! do they look good!

German cars have excessive brake dust from the stock pads. There are other pads out there that are just as effective or better with less brake dust. Yeah I know the BMW drive is going to be like that. I am working on Sat anyhow. If I did end up getting the day off and going I would rent a seperate room anyhow or drive back in the evening.

Very true. My former M-B was horrible with regard to dust. I wipe my S4 wheels most every time I drive it (if they are dry)

PCCBs are another matter though - virtually no dust

Jody, is that the PCA NW concours class? I forgot to note it on my calendar and was thinking of going to that also? Where and what time is it - I've never been to a concours but have interest in learning more.

If you don't like brake dust, get black wheels =)

I clean mine once a week and they look the same for the most part.
