I know..I haven't been around much
Hey everyone. I know I really haven't been around much the past 6 months, wether it was on a drive or here on the fourm. To be honest some parts of life have been the worst parts I have had to deal with, and other parts some of the best things.
I recently lost my father to a failing liver that he had. It started getting bad with him this past summer, but things took a turn for the worse in November and really I have been spending all of my time with him. I lost my father Feb 4th after 4 days in a coma, it sucks but knowing what he has gone through in the last year I know that he is really in a better place. So strange still to not be able to call my dad and say hello....nor get a phone call from him wanting to meet from lunch. My father has been retired for the past 7 years and he lived up on Whidbey Island. his longtime girlfriend (kind of a stepmom to me) passed away in 2001 and my dad has been very lonely since, so he loved spending his time with my brother and I. This past month has been healing for me...but sometimes still really hard to sit back and think of him (such as right now). All of my friends and family have been wonderful especially two of my closest friends that I met right here through 6speed (Mark and Ben thank you so much) and the dearest person in my life Donna.
The services for my father are this weekend (saturday) and it has really made me reflect alot about my life growing up, and realzing so much now that he is gone. We are going to be holding a service for my father at my brothers house and having alot of his friends and our (my brother and I) friends over to share stories about my dad and enjoy the day with a BBQ and some drinks and some good ole Frank Sinatra playing (my dad's favorite).
Through this time it has made me think what are the most important things to me in terms of life, job, and the people that matter most to me.
I still have the Porsche for sale even though my dad didn't want me to sell it. I think it is the right thing to do and help me revamp what direction I want to go in my life. I am thankful for all of the friends I have met the past couple of years when I have owned my car, and what the best part is that they will not stop being my friend when I no longer own a certain model of car.
One direction that I going with is building up my own business larger than ever. www.Image-wear.com will be everywhere soon and you willl all wear my clothing at one time or another
.
Again I just want to say thank you to the community and I look forward to seeing you all soon.

I'm sorry to hear about your father and I wish you and your family the best. It's nice to know that you have some good friends to cushion any kind of fall, physically or emotionally. Best Wishes.
P.S.
I'll be first in line for your new company that branches off of image-wear...vulgar-wear. I've been told that I missed my calling as a plus sized model =)
Keep your head up.

My brother, you know that I feel your pain and I feel bad that i did not get your message until Monday AM. That is the main reason I got my new phone today. You know if you ever want to go hang out or get some bubble tee I am yo man.
Hey buddy,
I know the past few months have been rough on you. You know the whole thing about Nichole's mom and how that has impacted her. I've seen that first hand for more than a year so I know how you must be feeling. You know we've been friends for 17 or so years and I'll always be here if you need me.
Oh, and about your car. I liked you even when you drove a purple VW

Hey Bruce,
Mr. Wing-man....it's good to see you posting on here. In the short time that I've come to know you, I can tell that you're a stand up guy and I've come to enjoy talking to you every time we met. It seemed like you were very open and affiable for a while but then things seemed to change suddenly one day. When word came that your dad's health was failing, I began to understand why. And now with your dad's passing, I can only imagine what you and your brother must be going through. I do offer my heartfelt condolences to you and your family but at the same time find myself having to applaud you for having the inner strength in moving forward with your life. Thank you for being you, Bruce. You're an incredible guy, don't ever change that...We may all be car people at heart but I've come to care about this close knit group because we're "The UnF*C*Withables" and of course your friends too.

Hang in there Bruce... my father passed away when I was a 12... and while I am not sure that time heals everything... it will dull the pain a bit.
You are the man - with or without your P-car.
See you soon and let me know if I can help in any way.
remember -- Unfuc*withable for life!

+1 Definitely!
Bruce,
My best to you and your brother, it is good to experience the love of family. You have been blessed with his presence and he will forever "live" within you. Reflect on him often and don't forget to smell the flowers along the way.
We all miss your smiling face, when you are ready Spring is waiting for you. Don't think anyone cares if you don't drive the P-car. You can always drive one of Mark's extras.
Take care buddy,
DE.
