Moton's are half the price of those KWs! Whoah! Must be really expensive because those Motons are usually $$$! I also hear that Speedware is WAYYYY overpriced compared to some other tuner shops outside of Washington. Have you comparison shopped?

I have a good relationship with the owner and we co-sponsor a local racer together...

 

Sorry PJ, I didn't mean to imply that I thought you're dumb. I figured that you'd probably have comparison shopped. It probably does help to be "tight" with the co-owner too.

 

In my world a good deal is when both sides are happy with the transaction... While I know I could find the KWs slightly cheaper somewhere else, Speedware put toghether a whole package quote for me with all of this stuff... so I may be paying a bit more for the KWs but I am getting a great deal on some other stuff and great service... so when I look at the deal as a whole... I am happy and I am pretty sure SW is happy.

Also SW was able to do some things for me that no other shop could do locally... Recaro does not make their Profi XL seats in leather and I really wanted recaro factory leather not some local upholstery shop... SW made it happen for me and they will be the only recaro factory leather profi xl's in the world right now... not to say they will not be doing more in the future... but for some reason Recaro really did not want to do it and SW would not take no for an answer on my behalf and ultimately they got it done. While that may not seem like a big deal, I very much appreciate the extra effort.

 

You're right about that, PJ. Both sides of the party should definitely be happy with the transaction especially where customer service is concerned. I've paid extra for services at Benchmark Motoring but they've always come through for me.

Only difference is that when you look at my whole package, I am not paying "benchmark" pricing but I am getting "benchmark" service etc..

I think we are on the same page though and I could not agree more... I do not mind paying a fair price for both parties for quality work done right the first time.

 

We're definitely on the same page here. I've developed a few long-standing relationships with a few business owners in the area. That's even gotten as far as being able to refer others to them and spreading the fringe benefits that I get. Lots of my friends think it's funny that all they have to do is drop my name and they're in the door.
