No, not necessarily, your pictures are good, though I think white cars always seem to look good after some HDR. It's hard to shoot white cars without them looking overexposed (or the background underexposed). Its possible you are already well aware of all that.

I was primarily speaking to "Mark debuting his photography talent". .RAW would have allowed him to turn up the exposure afterwards a tad and not make the back ground spotty with blacks.

Nice pics btw. I'm still that Vincent got his car wet.

Btw, the car don't suck at all in the pouring rain.

Does the D3 even shoot in JPEG Jason?

Jason's got nearly 3TB worth of raw files that I know of... I think he's aware of the benefits of shooting in raw format =)

Mark could definitely use a few lessons. I'm teaching him soon.

You put anything on Flickr?

I'm interested in exploring automotive photography as well, though I have no plans of making it into a day job. My wife apportioned the D1sMk2, so Im down to the spare 5D or even the occasional G7 snap.

I'm having a hard time in this weather avoiding using HDR with my car pics. Ortonizing just seems to make everything too dark.

Was thinking of trying some light-painting if I could find a good warehouse or the right series of lights in a tunnel, etc.

I can tell Jason knows what he's doing, Mitchel (other than shooting with a Nikon ). I was speaking about Mark...

I have a flickr account but I rarely use it if any at all. Don't really like its interface to begin with. I have my own album online: http://jasontang.virtuality.org. Feel free to take a look and share your comments/thoughts. Of course share your flickr account too.

Does the GT3RS live in Gig Harbor? I do and I think I have seen it in my neighborhood this last weekend.
