Canlis has no comparables in Seattle it's rated #1 for a reason. PJ's is right on. Wine Good. Service Perfect and view is better off my deck but they can't have all of it.

Morton's is just a chain. 109 normally doesn't get one person a meal so it will be nice to try it again.

thanks for the heads up

Greta-tude you really like Daniel's? Never really had a good meal there.

Daniel's is one of my favorites but my all time favorite steakhouse is Jak's. Never been to Morton's but it's probably as PJ said, like every other steakhouse chain such as Ruth Chris, etc.

Jak's in Issaquah is really good. The original in West Seattle was even better. Very few tables etc. the univ village area one is a little too commercial for me. Jeff and Ken's (jaks) Does do steak well. Jason good one I don't live up there so I sometimes forget.

Morton's is way overpriced but if they want to sport me $109 bucks i'd go there.

My real retro favorite is still "the brooklyn"

since Ben crossed from Italy to Germany today I'll throw in his restuarant. He really likes the Metropolitan. I just think its way too hip for an old geeser like myself

Canlis definitely had my favorite steak. I used to live in issy but never tried out Jak's grill even though I've heard good things. I should go out there just to try it.

The wagyu steak @ Canlis FTW.

shep is infamous around these parts
Thanks! I think I might check this place out once I'm done with finals this quarter!

My nice-restaurant experience doesn't go too far... but I had an excellent meal at Daniel's a couple years back... One place I absolutely love (and go to whenever I get a chance) is Szmania's in Magnolia Village.

I vote for Jaks......great steaks without all the "hype". Very non pretentious place. Heck I don't even need to wear a "jacket" to dinner.......unlike Canlis. But I think Canlis has done away with that rule with all the competition these days. That said, it is a great place to take your sweetheart for special occasions.

Oh I have had some good meals there, but more importantly Barrier gave me a gift certificate for Daniels for appearing in the commercial - so it's on them, can't pass that up!

I love Canlis too - one of Seattle's best always.

Nah, I'll just take the other card you had for me. That'd be good enough.
