Not a bad idea to have Jason there. I'll see if my friend wants to dish out another $1500 for him.

Sounds like a lot of fun. I'm planning on doing the Ariel Atom thing next year in Portland. We'll see what happens.

Surprised at no Lotus. Trying not to sound biased here cause I have one. It's not exactly the most comfortable ride, nor is it meant to be the fastest or the quickest. Is is however a whole lot of fun, I'd think that if it's just about the drive you'd want one on the list despite it not being as flashy or glamorous.

I remember seeing something like this on TV, and one of their cars was a Lotus and the drivers were all smiles about it. The only reason I could think of for not including one would be the small size. I'm over 6'2 and ~180lbs and I fit quite well, but I could see how someone larger would find it uncomfortable.

Still, it looks like a lot of fun. Cost is $1,495.00 + $300 if you bring a guest.

Mind you my list would prob have included a McLaren F1 and an Ariel Atom.

Looks like they still have openings for their visit to Seattle/Bellingham on 8/23 and 8/24.

Too much liabilities w/ the Atom and Caterham I supposed.

I'll be interested to see how much time you get in each car that you drive. My guess is it won't be much of a test drive. The sponsors will have to gather a fairly large group of people to make this road show pay off, which means rides will fairly short.

But still fun to mess around.
Vincent the Torque of the 599GTB (620hp I think) is going to make you think your new 996 has no power. My meek little 575 Maranello made my 430's feel torqueless. The GT Ferrari's are a much different drive but they NEVER run out of power and it's 12 cylinders from 2k to 9k. If they actually let you hammer it (which I doubt they will) you'll be in for a ride. That car get's comfy at 150mph and purr's at 175.

You should have a great time..

Out of those cars the 599 is the only one I believe will have the wow effect on me. I do understand the power band of an NA cars especially a V12 is linear and endless. But the 599 and the SLR are both heavy and soft so will see how it's performance will compare to my present and past powerful cars. Remember the CGT crushed the 599 in straight line and my 996 crushed the CGT. According to your previous logic, my car is faster.

Mark is right, I still remember the time when I test drove the 550 Maranello and was absolutely blown away by this car. Torque, torque and yet more torque. It was an amazing machine.

Wow I am really jealous. I have thought about doing this before in the past and this seems to be one of the best companies to do it. Enjoy, and please report back on how the day goes.
