Hey Norm,
On Wednesdays I don't start seeing patients till 10 AM. I get here at 7AM and try to catch up on the paper work so I just had to take a break at 9:17 to start the M3 hunt . I'll see patients till 7 tonight then continue the BMW research. You had an M3 before the Porsche didn't you?

Had a 2004 M3. That was a nice car. But the new M3 has a V8 that is actually lighter than the inline 6 in the old M3, plus a 100 more horses. Have fun shopping!

To get the best deal, consider purchasing from CA.
But I've had great experiences at BMW Northwest in Fife - if you go, speak with Ron Hansen and tell him I sent you.

Any recommendations in Ca? Fly down and drive back sounds like fun.

That's what I did with my last car. If from the East Coast, I ship... If West, fly+drive. It's a fun trip and tickets to CA are cheap.

Post up on M3F or E90post for better CA dealers. I've heard of good experiences at BMW SF but cannot recommend salesmen myself. LA suburbs tend to have good pricing I reckon.

I got my Infiniti from CA, drove it back. I would probably say that's your best bet as there are quite a few more dealership's there than here. GL and post pics when you do pick one up!

My take on the local Dealerships....

Bellevue, snobby, & really don't care, also highest prices on parts, labor & cars.

Seattle, small place, will deal on the right car, & are into the BMWCCA

Fife, very laid back, will let you drive any car on the lot, cheapest parts & will deal.

I've had pretty good experiences with their service department. But their sales department has been poor to terrible. The attitude and the prices are the worst. Since Bangle messed up every model in their line, it doesn't affect me anymore thank goodness. BMW of Fife were marginally better, and Seattle BMW have been the best of all in my experience.

call BMW Northwest and Talk to Casey Byrd. He is the General Sales manager and a close friend of mine. He will take care of you and be very honest with you.
