Yup anything 13.99 or quicker would need a helmet. Given the car in your sig, I'd say it would be needed.

Weather looks dry and most importantly, cool tomorrow!

I'll be bringing my video camera, so if anybody wants me to take some video of them, let me know. I'll be heading over there in the morning from downtown Seattle, so if anybody wants to caravan, let me know...

F430!! That'll be a treat to see and hear!

I want to get there a little early to *try* and beat the crowds. Thinking about getting there around 9:30 or 10:00.

I was thinking that I would have to miss this, thanks to some other obligations. But if the 430 is coming out, I might have to find the time.

Just got back from Pacific Raceways but arrived too late for registration Just for future reference registration closes at 2pm and the races end at 5pm. At least for this weekend anyways...I don't know if this is the same schedule throughout the year. I just picked up a helmet today too (thanks for the info ithrybrid), Arai GP-5W.

Anyway, I think I saw lpm_505 and EM5PWR run, silver F430 vert and silver E39 M5. The vette running against the 430 was pretty quick, trapped 120.

Luckily they are running Sunday as well from 8-5, so this time I'm going to try and get there around 11. First timer here so I'm sure the adrenaline will be pumping...hope I don't red light

Well I had a chance to run today (Sunday), and it was a good learning experience. I need to work on my launches as I couldn't resist the urge to stomp the gas when the light turned green. The two times I ran I spun hard at the line and probably lost .7 sec.

My 60' was a 2.3, and I was told to try and get my 60' times around 1.8 and I should see dramatic improvement in my 1/4 time. My best run in the C63 was a 13.183 @ 110.53. I know a couple stock C63s running 12.4 @114 so I have some ground to make up, but I'm happy with my first outing. I'm hoping to tune this car to 550-600hp by next summer and will be aiming for 11.xx @ 120+

But I think the final drag event this year is next Sunday, 10/26. So if anyone plans to get in some passes, you better do it then. I might go out again. It's $30 all day and $10 for spectators, and you have to get there before 2pm for registration and tech inspection. Since this was my first time I was confused at where to go and what to do, but turns out it's pretty simple and if anyone has questions about these events just let me know.

Oh, and in case anyone is wondering, there were cars of ALL different speeds that went. From SUVs running 16-17s @ 82 mph to drag cars running 6.xx @ 197!
