New to the board...Hi everyone!
Welcome, great car! I was playing around with a black one a couple of weeks ago, there a all round great car!
The rear is a very low pressure area, it will have what ever is on the road deposited there. Best to just keep it clean & with some kind of wax.

A product you might try is "RejeX". I believe it's available locally at Ace Hardware stores. I've used it on wheels with great success. Makes it very easy to remove brake dust.
Google it and read up on it.

Thanks for the suggestions!
I'll be looking into the products mentioned ASAP, thank you guys very much for the advice! Looking forward to meeting up with some fellow car nuts (and I mean that in the nicest possible way) soon...I glanced at a thread about the seattle auto show, perhaps then? My wife and I were planning on going on the 8th. Jodi has a pretty clear picture of herself as an avatar, so perhaps I'll just keep an eye out for her at the show. Hmm...may also give me the freedom to check out and talk to all the other cute blond ladies with a 'hey, are you Jodi?' without drawing wife aggro. Kidding aside, I'll read that thread soon. I'd be willing to drive the GT-R in the rain, if needed, to the show as well if anyone else is bringing their babies.
Its halloween and the kids are showing up soon so I must run, but a serious thank you for the responses about the sooty rear end. No one likes finding spooky grime on their ****, especially after a thorough washing
