That's a Ruf BTR conversion and not a Ruf VIN. The owner basically took a NA 993 and did an expensive turbo conversion. Ruf usually do this for people who didn't want to wait for the factory Turbo model to come out. This would be before 1995. But in this case, the conversion was done after.
IMO a more proper(real) serious turbo conversion of the 993 is the Ruf Turbo R where Ruf uses the actual 993TT platform to mimic the almighty CTR-2.
But even that can't stand a chance against the Andial or Protomotive 3.8L monsters.

No matter what you have, there will be something else that is faster. A lot of 993 guys have been doing RUF conversion lately.
I really like it, the gauges are hot! But IMHO, it's way over priced! It shouldn't cost more then the same condition 993 tt.

Ruf VIN cars on the other hand carry the premium, and they always will.
