Where are you guys going for service near Bellevue/Seattle (not Barrier)?
If you take your car to a dealership for service your not a car guy. If your on a first name, home phone contact basis with your tech then you my friend are a car guy.
Take your car to someone that actually has a vested interest in how well the car will run vs to someone that see's you as another person to add to their sales quota.
On that note take your car to Cory at Pro Car in Redmond. His cheap and scary enough an honest guy. Works on everything and will not charge you the P-car tax for the sake of it like many other shops. Every time I take anything to him I'm always surprised how well he does the job and for how cheap it cost me. But cost aside he does good work.

Another great Porsche repair shop in the Seattle area is Gerber Motorsport.

They have done excellent work on my Boxster S.

Alex, sounds like you have a great service - we will pass you name along too. Sorry to hear about all those who are not satisfied with Barrier. I only use Barrier Porsche and have only had excellent service and the same guys have been there for years. Trust them completely but have no experience at their other dealerships. That is too bad.
+1 on this guys... I know a lot of you have felt this way about Barrier but I gotta tell you that in 5 years of service for the TT and 3 years of service on the E55, I have NEVER received anything but amazing service! They have always stood by what they've done and the times that they have fumbled, they have always taken care of it and made it right (the car and the $s). I've gotten to be good friends with the service managers as well as the Tech's that work on my cars and it's been nothing but awesome. Like Greta, I trust them implicitly and would not consider using anyone else especially given the fact that it's 5 minutes from my home! Feel free to contact me if you'd like an intro to the service manager.
Good luck.

It just amazes me that they could not only be so incompetent as to not install the part, but then lie to me and claim it was installed, and tested correctly according to spec, while the part was still sitting in a box. The fact that it took them weeks to 'diagnose' when I told them day 1 what the problem was is even further boggling. These guys are supposed to be experts.
Lies, incompetence, excessive delays, and then on top of it all a trumped up bill which included unexplained 'misc' charges.
*shrug*. This was with my older car, perhaps I'd have been treated differently if I'd taken a newer car in for service.

I should stress here, I'm referring to the service dept. I've heard good things about Barrier Audi sales staff.
