Also, when picking a hotel, the reason I recommended the River Place is because the valet will allow you to keep your car in front. Most of the other high end hotels in the downtown core of Portland are street side. If you look at a map, most of the downtown hotels are close enough that it really doesn't matter as everything is just a few blocks away. I like having a view, depending on what I'm doing in town so I usually try the River Place first before the others to see if they have room. If I'm there to shop, I like the Paramount and Vintage Plaza. I also use TripAdvisor's reviews a lot when I'm doing something new. They tend to be very accurate.

I didn't like that they hid their add-a-tag market adjustment until the last minute. I'd rather spend a couple extra hours to go purchase from a dealer where I like their sales department. Sure, I have to take mine to fife for service but rumor is that there may be a Seattle dealership (or NW mini extension). In any case, I hope the service department is better than the salesperson.

not bad idea if you're not a fan of the sales. my salesman was very nice at nw mini. he came from their bmw dealership to sell the mini's instead and was selling 7 to 1 cars at mini vs bmw. I even told him he could drive my spider for the 5 t-shirts he gave the family. I brought it down a few weeks later and he almost got a ticket on i-5. that would have been lol funny really. he had tried to sell me one of the auto's with the (F1 like) shifting he said. I told him I'll bring a F1 tranny down for him to try. Very nice guy.

btw you are correct I believe we are working on a bmw mini seattle right now. So give them 4-5 months to complete it but it could be sooner.
