No, no, no. Horrible choice. You need a nice black 24ft enclosed one already branded with Porsche crests on the side.

Good choice PJ. I like the integrated tire rack. Plus it won't own your truck when pulling it.

Track cars can get away with open trailers. Since I also took my car to shows, I had to have an enclosed one. Plus when there was autocross in the rain, it gave a nice place to hang out.

If you have the truck to handle it and the place to keep it, enclosed is the way to go for sure. The convienence of a mobile secure garage on wheels so to speak.
I figure with a half ton truck, the most you want to do enclosed is a 20 footer... I was just starting to look at those when I found the open that I bought... it was an easy decision as ED (northvan997c2s) was telling me how much he loves his open at the last track day and for my needs right now it is truly plenty.

That being said -- if the planets aligned (right truck, right budget, wife, etc) -- I would go enclosed.

DJ -- I am sure you have considered trading it in on the toy hauler but just wanted to mention that option in case you had not considered it....

The lady that runs Bickford Trailers in Snohomish (Maggie) is very nice and easy to deal with etc... though I am not sure if they sell toy haulers...

Unfortunately the good deals on toy haulers are 2200 miles away (10k difference in price compared to local). So I don't feel like hauling it across the country for a trade. Figured I would just try to sell locally.

We never really tried to sell the Audi that hard except for an occasionl ad on CL and the one on here. N drives it more than I do now, although it sits in the garage most of the time. One of the last times I drove it was to your party. It just turned 6000 miles, so not a ton. We are thinking about getting rid of it again, but not sure. Maybe upgrade the family car with it. Who knows. Right now I'm on my toy hauler kick.

I agree. I was really impressed with my patient's white S5 today at the office. The interior looks magnificent but the 4.2 L engine was in the wrong place.
