I've done 8 half marathons total. I'm thinking maybe it's time for me to do the full. There's that huge mental hurdle to overcome though. I'm usually "done" by mile 11 so finishing a half is all I could do. I'm sure with proper training I could do a full.

Congratulations on a great run too! I'm considering joining Team In Training too. Would you say that it's worth it? I'd like to train with them for upcoming races in the near future.
Yeah, def worth it plus you make a whole new group of friends........plus running for a cause makes it that much more special. You saw the wave of purple. DO IT!

I've done the USMC 1/2 a long time ago. Actually went online and found the results from 2000. 2:17.43. I like you hit the wall around mile 12.

I've decided to enter the Seattle 1/2 in November. Time to get out and start training......(after Tuesday when my on call is over )

My best time was back in 2005 after intensive training I managed to finish it in 1:32. I doubt I'd be able to beat that but I'm sure as heck gonna try!

Wow. That makes me feel like a slug. I'm just hoping to beat my last time. Although hills may be a pain this time around. The last one was pretty flat.

Jason going by your 1/2 times I do not think a full marathon will be any trouble for you. Just by slowing down your pace you will be able to stretch out to hitting the wall around 17-18miles which is standard. Then you just have to walk/jog the rest of the way. One thing that really intimidates a lot of people is they think they can not run 26.2 miles. Well the truth is that most people can not myself included. made it about 19 miles and then I had to walk and jog as much as I could till I finished. This is what most people in the 4-5 hour range do. I am running the Disney marathon this winter and am trying to go under 4hours.
