Hot Air? Ballooning that is.
I just went up a month ago out in Snohomish, I live around there. Its definitely worth it.. but be prepared with the scheduling. If you’re going in the morning, which is around 5:30 or so, be ready if they cancel due to weather, wind, etc. We were canceled twice at 5:30, which sucks ha-ha. But ultimately when we got up there, it was pretty great. The 1st 100 feet made me a bit nauseous, but after that it’s all good. VERY SMOOTH.. almost creepy smooth because your moving with the wind so you don't feel a breeze or nothing. I think we hit $4,500ft that day, it was low cloud cover.
But yeah.. do it. It’s fun.

done it... it is okay... snohomish area
Would I do it again? probably not...
granted - my experience was in snohomish... I am sure someone will chime in about the balloning experience over the Loire Valley or in the Tetons etc... and will rave about how great it was.
If the scenery was just epic, I might do it again. I do not consider snohomish to be epic.

I agree about Snohomish...not much to write home about. I went for a ride in New Mexico during their hot air ballooon festival a couple years ago. Talk about gorgeous...I would definitely recommend it for anyone interested in giving it a try provided that there's beautiful scenery otherwise, not really.
