This is awesome I love Lotus! I wonder if the have the budget to be competitive though?

It's funded by a freaking nation. Yeah they have the funding. Lotus are wholly owned by Proton now, which is the national car maker for Malaysia. It's the Malay government that's sponsoring the race, and I bet we'll see Petronas (Malay national oil) move it's advertising from BMW to Lotus.

Well then they should do well. Lord knows that they can make cars handle better than any other manufacturer. It will be interesting to see what trick things they try. Like Braun GP but better I bet.
