BTW, Tommy, you should do some kind of notice to members of the FB group.

Your closer than me - I'm in Diego Garcia right now - won't be back in the Seattle area until Nov 7.

Mark, I'd be happy to ride in just about anything you own, but the CGT is the car I was referring to then.

Wow, we have some hard core people here. I have not been able to attend since August because I have football every Sat morning. Can't wait to get a free Saturday again but watch it rain when I do.

Mark,
Sarah has asked for a ride for her birthday. Any chance it'll be out around the dinner?

Well I could ask you for a ride if that would make you feel any better.

She's a car nut just as much as I am, so she would enjoy a ride when you get some free time.

I'm sad that the weather probably isn't going to be favorable for many ERTC's in the winter months. I remember standing out there last February in boots, hat, scarf, heavy jacket, and gloves. I can't believe it's almost been a year!

I know if I were asked and I was number 4, I would "find a way"

Funny, my dad helped build Diego Garcia. He has some crazy stories from that time, from swimming with sharks, the huge crabs that were on the island to the wacky Navy SEALS that were doing the demolition there.

I must have gotten there after you left Jody and missed you and this Austin-Healey - although I saw it drive onto the 520 as I was going under it. May have also seen it once before at a previous E@RTC. Anyone here knows who owns it? I'm trying to find out more on what it's like owning one of these!

I'm here to tell you not much has changed. Still military only, sharks all around the the island - some as big as a bus, poisonous water snakes etc, etc. I haven't seen any of the land crabs. A nice quiet get away!
