Casual gamer, so no online play for me :/
Might not be able to play online, but even with the Silver memebership (free) you can still add friends and compare your laptimes.

Resurrecting an old thread

I finished a low budget xbox 360 wheel stand. Here's an edited photo of it. The Zonda on Mugello is awesome by the way.

Dude, I want to see how your xbox 360 wheel setup is. I can't see it in the picture above.

Here's a better one Jason

It's a pretty crude build but it works and it's cheap

Here's the dimensions:
3 - 2" x 4" x 24" (wide pieces on the floor; one goes behind petals)
2 - 2" x 4" x 58" (long pieces on floor; outside wide pieces)
2 - 2" x 6" x 18" (tall pieces for wheel stand)
1 - 2" x 6" x 28" (wide piece for wheel stand; inside tall pieces)

I also used some large bolts with a round part on the end to allow the wheel stand to fold down. I might drill another hole so I can move the wheel stand forward so that it's easier for my boys to use. I think that the wood and hardware was under $15 (Home Depot in Woodinville). I used drywall screws to secure it and used my hand saw and cordless drill too. The build time was about an hour and a half. It would have been faster if my circular saw didn't crap out on me. I'm using an old car seat for the chair (stock from my bmw; replaced in the car with recaro).

How's it look with the wheel and chair in place, Kristian? Thanks for taking the time to share. I have a GT wheel setup with the Playseat but I've been looking for something for the Xbox setup.

Hey Jason, you're welcome. Here's a couple more with the seat and wheel in place. By the way, have you noticed that the wheel seems to work better in Forza 2 than 3? It seems like the steering is way to sensitive in Forza 3. I'm using settings from an Xbox.com forum post for Forza 2. [edit] Nevermind, I figured out that through Advanced Settings that I could replicate the settings that I have for Forza 2.

I love Forza! I sent a couple of you guys friend requests on xbox live, GT: masskilling (odd name yes, but it was my younger brothers at one time). I'm down to play Forza or any other game for that matter, just let me know.

Kristian, that setup is pretty cool. You've inspired me to build my own now.
