I dont think I jumped to soon on a 3000 mile white one with no over revs of any kind and spec'd exactly to my preferences

that black one is the highest mileage one I have seen for sale and the lowest advertised price on an RS that I have seen...

I think the black one is priced to sell...

Dempsey's black one had similar mileage and sold in the low 90s I believe.

If I wanted black or orange I would have paid less than I did...

A 4K mile local black one sold for $109.5 last week.

Of course the pricing will continue to come down -- they are not collectibles...

So would I rather have a 23K black one at $85K or my white one... tough call... for my uses the black one at $85K would have been far more logical... but I got exactly what I wanted... and I will not be replacing it for a long long time... so given that this is it for a long time, I am glad I jumped when I did and got what I wanted.

i posted because i thought it was crazy how low that particular car was listed. but as most know it could be black black black with just a couple grand.

I looked at a couple black cars and my only stipulation for a black car was no deviated stitching...

On a black rs I would likely decal delete and factory silver wheels and if that is the route I was going to go I did not want orange stitching... I could not find one for sale that had normal stitching

less than 5K mile black ones are still 110 cars give or take
the triple black was offered to me before ray joseph bought it via rennlist and that car is worth that... 1800 mile factory triple black with the right options etc... rare and for the "purist" the factory triple black is special even though as you pointed out it would be easy to do...

I think the range on PCCB cars before this ebay car is $95-120 depending on mileage/condition/specs... without pccb, deduct $5-10K depending on condition etc..

that was what I discovered when I was doing my homework...

I believe PJS on this. The 997 GT3-RS is truly a perfect car. Better car than most drivers ever will be. The 996 was just awesome to see with PJS evolutionary stuyling tweaks over the years. Believe the 997-RS's could indeed become collectible over time. Many congratulations.
