There may have been equal # of photog to cars..
As always, really great shots! The event was a lot of fun and it was cool to see such a great turnout!!! We only had two problem people; We had someone show up who's never been to E@RTC before, arrive with a really bad attitude about the event and the other brands of cars that were already lined up. Clearly this guy didn't know what E@RTC was about and that someone told him it's, "cars and coffee". It's not and he had entirely different expectations. He was mad that he couldn't park his car where he wanted and he was making stereotypical comments about other brand owners before I said his attitude isn't at all consistent with what we were trying to build in the first place.
We call it "Exotics at Redmond Town Center" for a reason. That's the focus, to unify the local exotic community and its worked beautifully so far. Most of us have become friends with each other and we're all having a great time. We've been down the road trying to define exotic and it's not easy, so we try and be as INCLUSIVE as possible, but realize at some point, there are limits. We try and make it work for everyone, but people still want to challenge the very sprit or what we're about.
We're not going to be everything to everyone as we know that model doesn't work and this clearly wasn't the right show for this guy but we still did our best to accommodate him, even though he wouldn't cooperate. As the word gets out, we're going to have more and more people show up and try and define the event for us without ever attending first to check out the sprit of E@RTC. This is not a typical "cars and coffee" and we're not going to turn it into one either. If we thought that model worked, we'd do it.
We also had another jerk do a burnout. This time in a gray Camaro. He may have been parked outside the barrier, I don't know as I don't remember the car. We've never seen him before and he's not welcome back either. So if someone has a photo of his car, lets put it up so we know who to look for. So far the muscle car guys are two for two and don't represent that segment very well.
It was great to see parking otherwise flow so well. The more people attend, the more we know how to manage cars and it just gets better and better. By summer we will be overflowing so more fun times are ahead!

Here's some photos that I took - http://www.flickr.com/photos/apexral...43064097/show/
There's one of the camaro in there too (although I don't have the plate). Some of my photos were from the LP550-2 event too (they became jumbled a bit since the Flickr uploader app crashed twice).

A quick thing on Mr. first time guy, he mellowed out after a short time and was having a good time, which made me happy that he was having a good time!
A year ago this weekend we had rain. I reviewed my pictures of last year's event, I'd forgotten that we only had traffic cones for the Desert Fire lot and nothing in the the two northern lots. We thought then we had great turnouts just by filling the Desert Fire lot. WoW! what a difference a year makes! I attached a few pictures that show a few Audis displayed in what was then the "regular" parking area, but we could see where the event was going and decided to expanded the event.
I attached a few pictures to show scenes from the the month of Mar -09
Dyno event was Mar 7, a rainy day around Puget Sound
Later that week, it snowed.
The E@RTC pictures are from the end of Mar.
Thanks to everyone in the NW car community for making the event, and making this YOUR event to attend!
