Hello NW'ers,

I wanted to post up the party info for MAXRPM that is being held on Saturday, February 5th.

I'll be headed down and if anyone wants to caravan down with me, let me know and we can all roll in together!

Date: Saturday, Feb. 5th
Time: 7:00 PM

Here is the info:
"Join us for food, wine and great cars! Beat the off-season blahs and have some fun with us. Event starts at 7pm. We will be joined by special guest Bob Chmelka of Race Technologies, the North American distributor of Brembo Brakes, for a tech talk. Travis of Gig Harbor Autoworks will be bringing a couple sweet cars to do a car audio demo and to play some fun music to party to. Wine tasting will be hosted by The Wine Studio of Gig Harbor.

Tickets are 30$ and can be purchaced by going to http://maxrpmwineanddyno.eventbrite.com/, or simply call Maegen at the shop to make a reservation over the phone at 360-373-6758.

Space is limited and we do expect to sell out so be sure you make a reservation early.

So do the ticket prices go towards a free dyno session? I'm a bit confused Mrs. Jody.. I definitely want to get the car dyno'd.. so let me know what to expect!

Okay....Here are the answers to your questions.

1. Yes, people under age 21 are permitted. No consumption of any alcoholic beverages though. =)
2. No, the price does not include having a dyno done on your car.

Here is more info from Maegen, who is putting this event together for us:
"The price doesn’t include a dyno, it includes food and your first glass of wine. People under 21 can attend but they will not under any circumstances be served alcohol and I will be wrist banding them at the door. If they are caught consuming alcohol they will be asked to leave.

If we have 100 people show up I am hesitant to run the dyno because we would only be able to run a couple of cars. We are more focused on the tech talk and the party. I know Travis plans to raffle off a couple of cool car stereo things."

There may be more surprises too! You'll just have to come and see!

Hey Kids,

Maegen from MAXRPM here. We will not be running the dyno on the 5th. Wine and dyno was just supposed to be cute and campy instead of wine and dine. I didn't mean to be misleading - sorry :( We will be raffling off a dyno run though. And ask Jody - we know how to party:)

Sorry folks but you just had to do this when I'm out of town! Have fun everyone and remember boozin' and drivin' do not mix.

They moved the date to the same night as our poker party so we won't be able to make it....

Awesome! Here are some more updated details!

We have gotten many inquiries about dyno runs during the event sooooo... We will be raffling off a free dyno run and the first 25 people to purchase a ticket to the event will be entered into a drawing to have their car run on the dyno during the event. Call Maegen at the shop.

Maegen has also set up room rates at a nice hotel very close by so those that are driving aways and don't want to drive home that night, call her at the shop and let her know you'd like to book a room!
