Awkward situations after E@RTC
, minutes later same s@@@ music approaching from opposite direction, stops in the middle of the road says something nice about the car in not a very nice language, what else do i want from this long haired redneck looking monster anyway, turns of the car to listen to mine as I've started it and quickly backed into my garage, closed doors etc. An embarrassing few moments i couldn't avoid. I like my privacy and i don't bother anyone, or at least I'm trying my best at it.My own 2 cents.

There are two types of followers. Those we know well who just assume we're heading out on a group drive or something just because they see a specific combination of guys who go on drives. I can see how it can happen, but I'm hoping that people simply be polite and at the very least ask first so there isn't embarrassment on both sides.
Then there are others who we don't know who are just a bit overly curious and think everything about your personal life should be public. I'm mostly speaking to the former, and Roy's dealing with the latter, which I've had to deal with as well. I have a route I take with a series of stop signs to help shake them off, but it's creepy as hell when it happens as you have no idea what's going on.
Then there is another whole can of worms when people come out as a group and either cheat the single bill, barely tip, or don't tip at all. They remain clueless about how they look to everyone else by not parting with those few extra bucks. It's why we look for single check locations and try and keep groups very small, which circles back to the whole following thing.

Tom...Lawyers cant help them selfs..they think everything should be on the Clients bill..regardless if they are on the clock or not...LOL LOL
Ah hell...it might be time to get rid of the GT3. I'm not invited to anything...no one stalks me on the way home...my wife is jealous of my German mistress...and all she can talk about is a Lambo.
I don't even understand how this is an issue. People really think it's Ok to just follow someone, then partake in what ever they are doing uninvited?
This should never need to even be posted. I feel this crosses a line, that should not even need to a line at.

This is kind of a
evolution of comments on a serious issue.
It's kinda crazy that it even needs to be brought up... And for some reason I have a distinct feeling that most of the people replying with comments aren't the problem.

The problem actually went on for a long time before I finally said something. I couldn't imagine myself following a group out of E@RTC to go anywhere without asking because who knows the context of anyone leaving, right?
He's there big surprise- After I made this first post, I've had more people thank me in person for writing this post than any other and I was worried that it may create unnecessary drama. Apparently this has gone on with others for a long time, but how does anyone bring it up without awkwardness? It's like telling that one guy to take a bath once in a while.
We've all built E@RTC to be one of the coolest things going on around here and I'd hate to see it not be the best possible experience for everyone who goes through the trouble to come out.

That's they key part of it all. After a couple of seasons from that very cold Valentines Day years ago it has grown to be one of the coolest car events around, and with enough of a draw to make it possible almost every weekend. No one would want to see that change.
I feel the same way Jeremy. I'm thankful to have an event that is planned every weekend that we can always count on being there. Of course, weather permitting, but that's part of the fun of living in the NW.
I've only been followed home once. They were actually spectators and followed me when I left. I just kept driving past my house, and headed towards the Redmond Police station. As soon as I pulled into the PD department, they hurried up and left. Worked like a charm!
