Some pathetic excuse for a human stole a Caterham out of a garage in Queen Anne on Saturday night. It's probably a joyride, so I'm helping to get the word out locally in case anyone sees it on the road. If you do come across the car, please call Seattle PD and refer to case# # 12-181124.

The car: 96' Caterham Classic live axle, yellow nose, bare aluminum body and bonnet, green clamshell wings and rear fenders, chasis # SDKLLKANSV0020637, black bench seats. 13" steel wheels, no spare, side exhaust. dual webbers, 1.7l crossflow. Other identifying features would be the ceramic coating that is flaking off the exhaust headers, missing driver-side carpet, and red 4-point driver's harness (passenger side is the stock 3-point).

You must be a very optimistic individual, I wouldn't say all russians are the same but this car might be in a container on it's way to eastern europe and whoever did this knew exactly what to do ahead of time IMO. Sorry for your loss and I hope you are insured 150%.

 

Not my car, just passing along the information for a fellow se7en owner. As for optimism, the car was found today, and a post on another car forum resulted in a lead. A member spotted the car on Sunday morning parked in front of the Ben & Jerry's in Greenlake.

I sure wish this state would get serious about car theft penalties. That would put an end to the problem in a hurry.

 

Great news and maybe storing the car in a more secure place would be something to consider, alarms, rottweilers and so forth...congrats and what a relief that was I guess.
