1st Annual Griots Italian Car Show and Exotic Car Gathering
Griots Garage is starting up a new event this year called: “The (1st annual) Griot's Garage Italian Car Show and Exotic Car Gathering”. It will be held at their flagship store in Tacoma on Saturday, September 1st 2012 starting at 11am.
As with Exotics @ Redmond Town Center, this event is open to all “Exotics”. They have 10 nice trophies, ranging from people's choice, best paint, Griot's choice, along with “date ranges”, such as Best Italian pre-72', Best-Italian 72 - 82, and so on. There is also one award, “best overall capable of 200+MPH” which is the only trophy that can be won by anything exotic. All other trophies are specifically for Italian marques.
Richard Griot just signed a deal to produce a nationally syndicated TV show to air on Fox Sports Network called “Griot's Garage Treasures”! There will be 13 episodes that will air from Oct. through December, and the debut episode will be filmed on location. In addition, an episode of LOKAR Car Show will be filmed around the show!
There is a $10 entrant fee. What do you get for this fee? A private lunch for Italian and Exotic Car owners only, along with Richard Griot, the staff hosting the TV shows, etc. A custom lanyard and Griot's Garage key chain, and possibility to win a trophy if you bring an Italian ride. For exotic or Italian owners that don't want to pay, they can still come hang out, enjoy the activities, they just won't get the lunch, trophy potential, key chain, etc
They are still working on a Raffle that will include a new Lambretta 150 Scooter and as in the past with the Italian Concours, all proceeds from the Raffle will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation!
There will be live music from Tony LaStella and Gumba's.
This is going to be a great event!! So, whether you have a Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Aston Martin, Rolls Royce, FIAT, Alfa Romeo, etc. Come on down to Griots on September 1st!!!

More information will be coming next week.

I wish them the best and even hope to attend the event. I always scratch my head a little when I read "First Annual" though. Is "inaugural" not the proper choice?
