Can anyone recommend a reputable place to get a set of tires mounted and balanced in Nassau County.

Believe it or not, I brought my car up to Mavis tire and they took really good car of my gear. No marks on the wheels and they used the stick on weights when the balanced it. And they were cool if you watched. I will use them again.

 

Thanks for the advice guys. Hewlett House of tires wanted me to come by to check out the wheels before hand, and I wanted to get this done before the weekend.
Michael I do beleive you regarding Mavis I happened to try them before your post.
I went with Mavis after calling their online store . They went out of the way to make the combo of tire pricing , mounting and speed balance work. It is also nice to get the tires and installation from one place. They will send the tires to any Mavis store that is convenient for you. I am going to Franklin Square. Glad to hear that you have had a positive experience with them.

 

If you're going to use Mavis, I was recommended to use the one in Farmingdale - they do more exotics/sports cars and have the machine for low profile wheels/tires.

If you're in the 5 towns - I would recommend Wondarama over Hewlett house of tires - Ed is straight up. I used to use Hewlett, they became $$$ hungry.
