Nice car! I drove the XKR a couple years back and really loved it but did buy a used Bentley GTC. I do really like the BRG and was never found of the blue one. I thought the R was fast I can only imagine the proper S version. How does that car compare to the AM Vantage?

Hello - New to this forum. I have a 2013 white XKR... I like your clear front reflectors. Please advise where you purchased them. Thx!

I bet your Bentley is also amazing. Any pics?

There is a good video review of the XKR-S vs. Vantage on youtube...let me find it real quick.

And here is a race, XKR-S on the highway against a tuned DBS.

Hello,

I just picked up a 2010 XKR. On paper I've yet to find anything faster than the XKR in the same family of bodystyles. Car and Driver and many other media brands repeat that Jags specs are way under rated. the XKRS beats every Aston Martin out there from 0-60 and even more from 0-100 in addition to the skidpad. The Jag is also a lot more livable for driving off of a track. It's purely a taste and money thing when you get to this level of car; it truly does not get better - simply different. With the power in this car I drive around in winter mode most of the time haha.

Where are you seeing the carbon pieces and euro corners?

I've got an X-pipe, catback, headers, intake and aquamist in my near future for power/sound. The non S is a lot quieter than the S. Pull fuse 19 behind the middle back seat and let us know how you like the change in your exhaust sound on the S.

The XKR could use a little wider tires/wheels like the S but I think I am going to just do spacers for now.

Nice videos , thanks. While I like Aston Martin they rarely win any performance comparisons. Jag is a great buy and quite a bit of car for the $. When you compare the cars with a price dependent eye the winner is pretty clear. IMHO that is.

Congrats on your new XKR. I agree they are fast, but remember there is always something faster, so enjoy it for what it is. I think the XKR's have a great mix of luxury and performance, and look darn good doing it.

I always run my car in dynamic mode, so no need to pull the fuse. I also only use sport mode and usually turn on Trac DSC.

You can get the carbon hood inserts from Mina Gallery, and the lenses from the U.K. , PM me for the lead to these..

Take care!

You're right in that it's a good mix. Its a good mix of sporty and comfortable. Although faster than the AM's it doesn't have the feel [harshness] and is much more the GT car.

There is always something faster and I remember when a heavily modified street car doing 12 second 1/4 mile times was legendary. The 0-60 times out of sub 100K cars nowadays is ridiculous. Hell, even the V6 mustangs have 300hp now days!

Xkrs

Hi everyone,

I.m new on the forum. I've decide to join you to give you my personnal experience after I have read your post..

I've bought a Brand new XKRS 2012 two months ago. A dealer in Toronto was stuck with it for 2 years. Got a good deal ...

I can tell you that I've never had a turning head car like this one. Everay single day I have tombs up and grats.

I just return from a 10 days road trip from Québec to Syracuse, Buffalo, Chicago, Detroit and at every stop, people look at me and give me congrats.

A driver in front of me in a tool box paid my tool! Ist'n great???

Anyway, I've put 6000 miles on the car so far and I don't miss the manuel trany anymore and the sound still amaze me averyday.

That great!...Glad you are enjoying it. Post up some pics when you get a chance.

I agree, the ZF transmission in the XKR-S is great. I honestly didn't know an auto could shift that fast. I use mine with the paddles constantly. I love downshifting to hear the exhaust pop and crackle when I am coming to a red light.

I don't know how to put pictures directly in the post. I've upload some photos in my garage.

I had a minor incident on my front carbon spoiler (splitter). Somebody know where to buy replacement parts in carbon fiber cheaper then the OEP?

Yes, go to minagallery.com. They have a replacement front splitter in carbon fiber for a fraction of the Dealer price.

Thanks Matt,

I've been there but they seem to have only the rear defuser! Maybe it's hide somewhere else on the site. I'll check it...
