damn 120k? must be from the rarity, but i would spend money elsewhere.

I sat in one at BMW M3 training in SC last year and it was a marvel.

M1 is a sick car. I forgot which magazine it was, but BMW regarded it as one of their best cars in the M countdown.

Ironically, this showed up at our bi-weekly car lunch get-together this past Weds. I had never even heard of an M1 prior to seeing this one. Apparently there were only 399 ever built. The original owner of this car was Ralf Lauren, and then a couple other famous people that I can't remember. Cool car! Reminded me of Magmum PI's 308



And the engine.... 275 hp.




It was interesting that it has two gas tanks. Something about balancing the weight. However the gas caps on either side are inside the car behind those small rear plexi windows on the sides. I would imagine it must look like he's filling the back seat with gas for an insurance claim if you didn't know how the car was setup



FWIW, his car was $175K based on the condition with the average really good condition car going for around $150K.
