You are right, they have the money to do it if they wanted. Heck they did Nascar! lol Toyota made its money with economic cars, I think that is what they believe in now. If Toyota came back out with a replacement Supra, I don't think it will be in the same class as the GTR. I think they would aim for the 350z crowd to make money. I'm not quite sure if the GTR is considered a money maker yet. Too early to tell.

Don't forget that the exchange rate shifted considerably towards the end of the supra's production run, causing prices to spike. I doubt building a Supra now would be very profitable, and given the economy and Toyota's conservative nature, they're probably not too hot on building a loss leader
