RH9 - 2011 Subaru STI Build

First of all RH9 designation means:
9 second 1/4 mile on street tires/drag radials
1.0g's on street tires
under 110 ft 60-0 breaking on street tires

Side note - I will compete in the Shift Sector roll racing events in California as well, because the drag racing will wreak havoc on the drivetrain parts and I am sure I will get tired of replacing stuff if it breaks.

I am building the car to meet the above criteria!!!!!

Current - So I popped the stock motor last year and now onto the rebuild. This journey has taken me some time but I am very happy where it is ending up.

I am going to skip to the end and say what is in build in my search to become the first 9 second, full weight, daily driver, GR Subaru STI in the 9's on street tires/drag radials.

First of all my STI has about 300 pounds of additional weight beyond stock from complete sound deadening and stereo system, plus I weigh 250+!!!!

Now on to the good stuff.....

Block - Completely Balanced and Blue printed.....

start collecting spare transmissions as you are going to need them

sounds like a fun project.... but some serious weight reduction will help to prevent parts breakage, and make your goals much easier.

If you want to be middle of the road at the airport shootout events and hang with 600rwhp supercharged M3's that trap 160mph+ then your project will be fine. To run with the big dogs you are choosing the wrong platform and need another 300rwhp and better aerodynamics.

I agree the car is going to be very heavy, about 3850-4000lbs wet.

I am trying to set a goal and be the first with a Subaru STI.

I know it isn't considered the best platform by some, but it is what I have currently.

Thanks for your advice. I hope to see you at the event in November.

Nice specs you got there. Our CV3's with LitePack would be perfect for a build like that. Low weight, keeping the unsprung mass low. Let me know if you need some.

One,

The wheels you all have are just fantastic looking. I wish your website had the photoshop ability to showcase your wheels in a profile view on different cars, especially my STI. LOVE your product!
