The Death of the Lancer Evolution

Hello all -

We just published a great article on the ending of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo program. Let me know what you guys think!

Here is a snippet:

"Ever since Mitsubishi first conceived the Lancer Evolution in 1992, the all-wheel drive wonder has had a cult-like following. By stuffing the legendary 4G63 turbocharged 2-liter engine and all-wheel drive from the larger Galant VR-4 into the smaller and lighter Lancer chassis, the car was immediately a force to reckon with on the track or street. Over the years, it evolved from a bare bones "If it doesn’t help to increase speed it doesn’t belong" Evolution I, to the latest generation Evolution X designed to meet the aging demographic looking for a more comfortable rally car for the street."
