According to Top Gear the price of the Panamera starts roughly at 125K Pounds...

Let's see, a base Cayenne Plus a Nice 911S should cost as much... I think I'll pass on the Panamera...

so thats over 200k USD for a basic V6 panamera??? so the Turbo will cost close to as much as the Carrera GT is when it was new????

Thats a gross over estimation. It will be in the 80's to mid 140's probably depending on models and engines.

The Brits pay through the nose, as most other Europeans do. Prices are not harmonized on a Global basis. Consider yourself lucky you live in the US.

i just read a magazine (car and driver? idk) that it will cost around 911's price range and turbo will be around 130k USD.

lamborghini estoque - $150k
aston martin sedan - $225k

not really sure if $150k for the lambo is realistic though...more like 250k maybe?

if they want to sell any of these in the US they better price it within 10k of the Cayenne S and Turbo.

usa will not pay much of a premium for pana vs cayenne. esp since pana looses 5th seat, which i think is a mistake by p.

While style and appearance are important, they are much less important than performance. I suspect that once the car is released and the road tests results are out, demand for the Panamera will be much higher than anticipated. The turbo version is expected to do 0-60 in 4.0 seconds. Compare that to the Merc S550 (5.4 sec.), S600 (4.5), and S63 (4.2).

sticker on s550 awd is $96k and they are advertised in todays ny times for $75k. as far as hp goes, same mb dealer is offering $135k amg 6.3 s class for $106k. add to this the competition of a new bmw 7 and soon to be new audi s8 and i still think porsche will have trouble selling a 4 seat performance sedan. guarantee it will have 5 seat option within 1yr.

At least at launch it does not seem that there are doing to be a lot of extra options. Base equipment looks fairly complete: http://www.panaoc.com/forums/audio-system-t25.html
