I was a little reluctant about praising the Panamera. I always liked the front, but the back... lets just say is subject to opinion. Anyways, after test driving it, all those things go right out the window, because it's a way better driving feel than all other 4-doors IMO.

As fast around the 'ring as an F430, and a better drive around town than an A6; pretty much speaks for itself. Almost got it home before the snow started (maybe 200 yards after driving out of the dealership, snow started dumping) out east, knuckles were as white as the roads, but the car was rock solid. First time I ever drove the first miles in a new car in the the snow; the car works. Doubt any dealership will let you take a test drive in the snow, but you'll be even more impressed with the car afterwards.

hahaha yet again another snobby person. so the guy offers his opinion on the LOOKS of the car not even the performance and you guys flip over his opinion? and then you take shots at his car which last time i checked was one of the best cars ever made.

For those of you who are thinking of this as a family car...I just got a ringing endorsement from my wife. She is 9 months pregnant and we went on an 11 hour drive in one day. She said, "that was the most comfortable i have been in any car". And I have the stiff sport seats. This car is super smooth (in comfort mode) on the freeway and rock solid, literally feels like you are flying. I cant praise the multi-modal attributes of the suspension package enough, literally from comfort and (almost) race at the push of a button. There is certainly a sacrifice for this flexibility, in sport plus mode the car could provide more feel, particularly through the steering wheel.

It has been said before that this car is very easy to drive at 9/10ths and I certainly agree. in fact you can get maximum strait-line acceleration in launch mode and have no driving skills at all.

I have almost 2,000 miles and love the car.

Going to check one out today with the family. Roll in with the Honda minivan and rollout with a Panamera . We'll see what happens. The Honda does have bumper scratches and dents from everyday use so its going to be painful to see those on the porsche.

Wow, this thread is getting to be entertaining. Keep up the good fights.

Here is another entertaining story:

My wife is a poor driver. When leaving our house Friday to take the kids to school, she turned on the county road. She notice a black vette coming on her fast. She stomped on the gas. The owner of the vette is our neighbor. He made every effort just to keep up. When she got to the double S turn in the road, instead of braking, she stood on the gas. This "ugly" car is FAST and planted. After the second S turn, the vette lost complete control, and hit the ditch to a mud plowing stop. Front end damage city. He has yet to return our call, but we don't think he will mess with the Pana Turbo again.

So classic, I got this off the Car and Driver website, It's :

0-60 in 3.3seconds, holy *&% Batman. Can I direct Porsche's next commercial. "Kids (sitting in the backseat), watch what daddy does to that Corvette next to us......."

Alright so I took the whole family to test drive the pana and they loved it BUT we still ended up driving the minivan back home. 1st my wife didn't like the back end at all but the comfort and performance more than made up for that. 2nd can't compete with the minivan and who were we kidding - this is only good as a second family hauler.
