I bought one of the first Lexus models at their intial launch as a brand. I think it was the ES250? Back around late 1989 maybe? Basically a rebadged Camry.

I've had a couple of cars that didn't knock me out. An MB S430 and an MB SL500 come to mind. But the lexus was really the only car that I disliked and regretted buying.

After having driven a Panamera over the weekend, I must admit that I am starting to warm up to the design.

After a test drive: phenomenal engineering, interior to die for, 007 gadgetry (sp?) but just butt ugly in the butt dept... Maybe a big spoiler back there, or a refresh will help this thing. I will give it to Porsche that they stuck to what is true to them, and designed the rear in regard to their other line-up. Too bad that their other line-up does not fair well as a saloon. I.e the rapide is a 30cm stretched DB9 (in the looks dept) and the DB9 is the dogs bollocks. The Porsche sports car lineup is the dog's bollocks also, stretched one's aren't. At least not for 160k...

The U.
