Test drove Panamera Turbo today
First off, I'd have to say this is my first time test driving a car in a high price range and my impression expectations were definitely exceeded.
I test drove the 4s and the turbo and boy was there a difference.
Floored the turbo and in no time it got into 70mph on a 45 road. It was quite scary to be honest. I could feel my ears pop and the force of acceleration. Definitely greater than 1 G of force.
Salesman wouldn't let me test out the launch control
but still, it was great.
Also tested out the Cayenne S 2011, and I definitely feel the difference between that and the 955 model that I own. As everyone has said, the newer breed of Porsches definitely feel more sporty and fun to drive.
Definitely considering this to be my next car.

Tough Decision
I also was considering various models of the Cayenne and the Panamera.
I choose the Panamera since it had almost as much 'effective' storage space and was far 'funner' to drive.
The V6 is quite underpowered, I drove a loaner for three days. The S and 4S are powerful and more than adequate for US roads. I bought a Black / Black S and drove it for 3800 miles.
Then I upgraded to the TURBO, worth every penny!! You only live once.
The differences between the TURBO and the S / 4S are considerable.
Choose carefully.
Cheers, JohnnyB

When I test drove, they said someone swapped out an S for a Turbo with about 4k miles on it.
