I drove the Rapide last week at my local dealer. The back seats are useless - no way remotely to get a car seat in there let alone a full grown adult.

As with all Astons there seems to be no thought to the interior layout but they certainly all sound great...

The Panamera is certainly more practical and more fun.....if only it sounded like the Aston

Interestingly, I too drove a Rapide last week. The reason I need a 4 door is mainly to carry and access crap I tote around. I do take my girls to school a couple times per week, but they're small enough to fit into the back seats of the California. The driving experience of the Rapide is really nice. Driver's seat is comfortable and adequate room for my 6'3" big boned frame. The center tunnel is incredibly large. Believe it or not, I couldn't even reach into the rear seats to grab something if I wanted to. Small adults could sit back there, but as you can imagine, there's no where near the room that's in the Panamera. For my purposes, the Panamera is truly the best all around vehicle. Sportiness, form, and function.
Porsche, there is no substitute.

The Rapide was actually the car I wanted at 1st...Rear seats were "decent" but the wife was concerned about putting a baby seat in the back...didn't look possible...test drive went well but at that price point I wasn't blown away...Drove a Panamera S and 4S and thought they were better than the Rapide but still not enough power for my taste...The car is very good looking tho!
